Ciudadano by Fernando Ruíz Lorenzo @ Villa Victoria Center for the Arts | Boston | Massachusetts | United States

This multifaceted exhibit takes an in-depth look at the politics of Puerto Rico. Fernando Ruíz Lorenzo, describes his multimedia exhibit by quoting Puerto Rican writer, Ana Lydia Vega, “Literature and art in Puerto Rico have to take the place of embassies and consulates.” Witness the creative stance Ruíz Lorenzo is taking and have a chance to further discuss his inspiration for the exhibit during the panel discussion that will accompany the Opening Night of this exhibit. Lorenzo will be joined by José Buscaglia and Pedro Reina Pérez, scholars from Northeastern and Harvard to examine the state of Puerto Rico’s economy, its’ current residents, and citizens of the diaspora.
