This free 15-week academic program helps students successfully prepare for the HiSet Exam (formerly known as the GED), transition to college, and acquire the necessary skills for the workforce. The course curriculum includes an overview of the 5 subjects tested in the HiSet Exam – math, social studies, reading, writing, and science – and is individualized to suit each student’s needs.

Besides individual academic assistance and advising, we offer a program that is difficult to find anywhere else. We teach provide college support enrollment, life skills workshops, workforce programs, financial assistance to upset testing costs, and childcare. All students who enroll in our HiSet program are eligible to receive a scholarship to help pay for classes at Bunker Hill Community College.

When students leave this program they not only feel prepared to earn their Massachusetts HiSetDiploma, but also report feeling “eager to learn” and empowered “to pursue endeavors [they] once thought unattainable.”

*This class is a recurring course for the College and Workforce Development Program. This class is offered 3 times per year: during the fall, spring and summer.
