The program transforms technology into a tool for community strength, empowering their members to gain technology knowledge and skills.
IBA’s Community Technology Center features a lab with 23 computers with high speed Internet and it offers free computer classes and other technology programs with the goal of helping participants gain critical digital knowledge needed to succeed.
Our Community Technology Center is part of the Timothy Smith Network. It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and it is used in the evenings for high school credential classes and college-level courses.
The Program offers:
- Basic computer classes.
- Youth technology programs, such as Summer Tech Program and The Learn 2 Teach – Teach 2 Learn program.
- Technology-focused college credit courses, offered through IBA’s partnership with Bunker Hill Community College.
- Project-based learning programming for children and youth in science, technology, engineering, math and the arts.
- Job Readiness Assistance (e.g. cover letter/ resume writing and internet-based job searches).
